چکیده

We introduce a suitable notion of bisimulation for the family of Heyting-valued modal logics introduced by M. Fitting. In this family of logics, each modal language is built on an underlying space of truth values, a Heyting algebra H. All the truth values are directly represented in the language which is interpreted on relational frames with an H-valued accessibility relation. We prove that for each language, an H-indexed family of bisimulations can be defined which implies a relative invariance result for the truth values of modal formulas. A bisimulation game is further defined and relevant results, such as the tree model property are examined. If the underlying algebra H is finite, the modal language can be equivalently reformulated to a form relevant to epistemic situations with many interrelated experts. In this context, our bisimulations are transformations of Hmodal models which guarantee that the epistemic consensus of a predefined group of the involved experts is invariant under the bisimulation relation.

Notions of Bisimulation for Heyting-Valued Modal Languages

We examine the notion of bisimulation and its ramifications, in the context of the family of Heyting-valued modal languages introduced by M. Fitting. All the truth values are directly represented in the language, which is interpreted on relational frames with an H-valued accessibility relati...

Upper-Expectation Bisimilarity and Real-valued Modal Logics

Several notions of bisimulation relations for probabilistic nondeterministic transition systems have been considered in the literature. We consider a novel testing-based behavioral equivalence called upperexpectation bisimilarity and develop its theory using standard results from linear algebra and functional analysis. We show that, for a wide class of systems, our new notion coincides with Seg...

Action emulation

A key notion of equivalence for modal and epistemic logic is bisimulation. However, to capture the update effects of action models in epistemic update logic, this notion turns out to be too strong. We propose necessary and sufficient conditions for having the same update effect, in the cases of action models with propositional preconditions and action models with modal precondions. Next, the no...

A van Benthem Theorem for Fuzzy Modal Logic

We present a fuzzy (or quantitative) version of the van Benthem theorem, which characterizes propositional modal logic as the bisimulation-invariant fragment of first-order logic. Specifically, we consider a first-order fuzzy predicate logic alongwith its modal fragment, and show that the fuzzy first-order formulas that are non-expansive w.r.t. the natural notion of bisimulation distance are ex...

Context bisimulation 13, 1] has become an important notion of behavioral equivalence for higher{order processes. Weak forms of context bisimulation are particularly interesting, because of their high level of abstraction. We present a modal logic for this setting and provide a characterization of a variant of weak context bisimulation on second{order processes. We show how the logic permits com...
